Rt. Rev. William D'Souza S.J. Archbishop of Patna was the main celebrant at the Eucharistic Celebration held at Veronica Smriti Sadan, Carmel Jwala at 11.30 a.m. After Mass the sisters of the province paid their allegiance to the newly installed Provincial Superior. Nearly 135 sisters, novices and postulants were present on this occasion. After lunch each community greeted the Provincial Team, with a colourful programme of songs, dances and skits and presented flowers and other tokens of love.

Master in Theology

Sister Vinaya D’Souza, A.C. defended her thesis on JESUS: THE LORD OF THE NEW CREATION - An Exegetical Study of Mark 6:45-52, on 26th of March at 4 p.m. in the conference hall of St. Peter’s Pontifical Institute, Bangalore.
The Moderators were Rev. Dr. Lucien Legrand mep and Rev. Dr. Alfred Joseph
After the presentation of the thesis by Sr. Vinaya D’Souza A.C., the moderators asked questions and clarifications for 40 minutes. She was able to answer well all the questions. Everyone appreciated it.

Catechetical Seminar for the Novices from 12 to 22nd March

Catechetical Seminar for ten days was held at Jyoti Bhavan, Mokama, Bihar. 53 Novices from six Congregations including 14 A.C. novices from the Northern Province benefitted from this course.

CATECHETICAL SEMINAR

A Catechetical Seminar was organized by the Provincial Superior and her Team. It was inaugurated on March 11, 2012 at 9 a.m. in Carmel Jwala. Fr. Michael Ignatius was the resource person. 49 sisters of the province participated in it.
On the second day of the seminar, there was a demonstration of Catechesis held for Class VI & VII students of Carmel School. Thereafter, the participants were divided into 4 groups to give the model lessons of Catechesis using different teaching aids.

XI Ordinary Provincial Chapter was closed

The XI Ordinary Provincial Chapter of Northern Province was concluded on 25th noon after attending to all the business and other formalities. The Provincial Superior, the Newly Provincial Elect, the Old and the new Provincial Team and all the delegates thank every Sister of the Province and the Congregation for their prayerful support.

Relaxation for the Chapter Delagates

February 23 afternoon was full of relaxation for the delegates as they visited the historical places at Vaishali District.

Sister Agatha Mary who presided over the Provincial Superior's election announced the name of God's elect. Hearty Congratulations ! to our Newly elected Provicial Superior Sister Lily D'Souza.
