19th Inauguration and Blessing of ‘Mother Veronica Art Museum’

To perpetuate the memory of our revered Foundress Mother Veronica and make her known and loved by all a ‘Mother Veronica Memorial Art Museum’ is set up at Veronica Smriti Sadan, Patna. It was blessed by Rev. Fr. Ashish S.J. and inaugurated by Sr. Maria Dipasha A.C., Provincial Superior, on ‘Establishment Day’ 19th Novemeber, 2011, in the presence of nearly 80 sisters and inmates of the campus. Mr. Nikhil Prakash, Director of Digital Cinematics spared no time and efforts to give shape to the creative ideas, supported by the expertise provided by sisters Marie Eugene and Marie Jessie, to bring into effect a beautiful and unique museum. The museum has exquisite paintings, blown up pictures and dainty statuettes and it depicts persons, places and events dear to our foundress.

CRI get-together of Patna Unit on 13th October

The Patna unit of CRI organized a get-together in Veronica Smriti Sadan Carmel Jwala, Patna. About 100 priests and religious were present in this occasion. Sister Maria Dipasha, the Provincial Superior inaugurated the programme with the lighting of the lamp and delivered an inspiring welcome address. Sister Angela A.C. conducted a meaningful prayer service with power-point presentation, bringing out the role of religious in proclaiming the Good News and spreading Christ’s Kingdom on earth.
The law students of Chanakya University under the leadership of Rev. Father Peter Ladis presented 2 skits on Legal Problems and how to deal with them. A few games were conducted to experience relaxation and togetherness.

Inauguration of 'Mother Veronica Year' on 29th September

‘Mother Veronica Year’ was inaugurated at Carmel Jwala, Patna with a meaningful prayer service on the 29th of September.

Seminar on St. John of the Cross

25th - 30th September, Rev. Fr. Alfred Menezes OCD from Dhyanavana, Mysore, conducted a five-day seminar on our Carmelite Saint John of the Cross. About 28 sisters from Northern Province and three from Eastern province participated in the seminar. Fr. Alfred with his deep knowledge and love of John of the Cross, made us all fall in love with John of the Cross and imbibe his spirit of detachment and deep intimacy with God.

8th September 'PROTSAHAN'

‘Educare’ – an NGO which promotes the education of the underprivileged children organized various competitions for the ‘Literacy Project’ children of about 20 literacy centres of Panta to bring out the latent talents in children and encourage them to come to the mainstream in the society. The programme was named ‘Protsahan’.

The above mentioned programme was conducted in ‘Veronica Smriti Sadan’ hall, Carmel Jwala, Provincial House, Patna. Sister Maria Dipasha, the Provincial Superior, inaugurated the programme and expressed her joy and appreciation for the wonderful work undertaken by ‘EDUCARE’ for the upliftment of the poor and the marginalized in our society.

Sister Agatha Mary, the Superior General, who was in Avila Convent, Patna, on Visitation programme, was invited to give away the prizes and encourage the participants with an inspiring message.

Leadership Camp 27th and 28th, August 2011

To deepen the faith fo our Catholic students and sow in them the seed of vocation to religious life, as held at Carmel Jwala, Patna, a Leadership Camp was organized at Carmel Jwala, Provincial House, Patna, on 27th and 28th, August, 2011. Resource Person was Father Christie S.J. of Patna Province

A Seminar on Prayer Skill was conducted on 2nd July to 6th July 2011 at Carmel Jwala, Patna. About 40 sisters of our various communities articipated in the seminar. Father John Sequeira OCD was the resource person. The sisters werevery happy with the practical tips given for contemplative prayer.
